School Psychologist Interns (Paid Internship)

School Psychologist Interns for 2026/2027 school year (Paid Internship): 

The Central Square Central School District is seeking a School Psychologist Intern to join our dynamic team and contribute to the academic and social-emotional well-being of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate and reevaluate students' academic and social-emotional functioning in all grade levels within district and in out of district BOCES placements.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and support plans.
  • Provide counseling services to students to address emotional and behavioral concerns in individual, group and crisis settings.
  • Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings to develop (IEPs) and collaborate with the special education team.
  • Participate in Section 504 team evaluations, meetings, and plan development.
  • Participate in data team meetings.
  • Utilize Frontline Education to develop IEPs and 504s.
  • Support the development and implementation of school-wide positive behavior interventions and supports.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive school climate.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in School Psychology Program.
  • Eligible for or in the process of obtaining appropriate state certification as a School Psychologist Intern.
  • Strong assessment and counseling skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with our school team.
